Once again, Expoquimia will feature a series of activities that will highlight the value of the chemical industry from both a business and a theoretical-scientific point of view.
In 2023, the fourth edition of Smart Chemistry Smart Future, GREEN DEAL Edition will take place, organised by the Spanish Chemical Industry Business Federation (FEIQUE), which will showcase the contribution of companies in the sector to achieving Europe’s decarbonisation targets by 2050.
The agenda for this edition includes more than 30 Smarttalks with success stories from the sector that are helping to accelerate the transition towards a circular, digital and climate-neutral Europe, as well as an institutional event where FEIQUE will present the Roadmap of the Spanish chemical sector for 2050 with the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge.

After being held online in 2020, Expoquimia 2023 will be the 15th edition of the Mediterranean Congress of Chemical Engineering, a historic congress that will lay down the guidelines for the industrial processes of the future. In this edition, the scientific community will rise to the occasion to offer and share its knowledge in essential and critical industrial sectors:
All those with scientific and technical profiles from universities, technology centres and companies can apply here to present their projects and innovations at the congress.
The deadline for submission of project proposals is 31 January 2023.
The programme of events at Expoquimia 2023 is completed with several side events, conferences and seminars organised by some of the most representative associations and institutions from other sectors.
- Bequinor, an association that brings together different sectors related to, in, or for technical assistance, industrial safety and standardisation in the field of capital goods and industrial activity, will organise an industrial safety course on 30 May
- Aerce, the Spanish Association of purchasing, contracting and procurement professionals, will hold a Procurement Day from the perspective of purchasing in the chemical and pharma sector.
- The Beauty Cluster will hold the Green Beauty Congress with three content areas (innovation, regulation and formulation) aimed at laboratory technicians, RDI and company executives in the cosmetics sector.
